A friend sent me this website -- I LOVE it. Weight Watchers recipe cards, circa 1974
Wendy McClure, who authors this site is just funny, hands down. She's coming out with a book at the end of April called 'I'm Not the New Me.' Check it out at Amazon.com if you can. The commentary on the props is a must read.
I haven't posted to my blog for awhile. I would make some excuse that it's because I've been busy, but I got struck with some performance anxiety again. Everytime I went to write something, I didn't think it was interesting, so I stopped. Going to try and stop doing that.
My current frustration right now is my car. I bought an Audi on ebay a year ago after my Saturn died in a hit-and-run car accident with a guy who looked just like John Ashcroft (though, don't most people who are evil?). I was scared about buying a high end car -- that I'd end up at the mechanics every two weeks, so I asked every Audi owner I could find about whether they thought they were high maintenance. All recommended them. Apparently the one piece of advice they didn't give was "they fall apart after four years." What year Audi did I buy? Yep -- a 2000. So, it's crap. The alignment is so off that when I let go of the wheel the car naturally gravitates to a 90 degree turn to the right. Bits drop off all the time. I'm now in that mode where I'm analyzing every car I pass on the highway trying to decide where to head next. Maybe Honda, maybe Prius (I'm definitely over paying $40 a week for gas. Beer, yes. Gas, no). All suggestions are welcome...

I was just reading a review in Bust about the Wendy McClure book. They thought it was great and pretty damn funny.
You should totally consider a hybrid. That's right up your alley! But I think in this area, there's a wait list for most hybrids. They're wildly popular since they're excluded from the HOV rules. I just want one because Larry David has one. :-)

hybrid! hybrid! hybrid! they really are brilliant.
I was born with the Toyota-loyalty gene, but I hear the Honda Insight is also really good. Gwen has one. not only will you save loads in gas fees, you will also be eligble for a clean-fuel tax deduction. whoohoo.
dammit! you mention beer AGAIN. now I really will have to stop at the Porterhouse before heading home!

"Once upon a time the world was young and the words "mackerel" and "pudding" existed far, far away from one another."
